Congrats on your new Diamond. I have rented and flown the Diamond Eclipse, Star and Twin Star. The airplanes are nice. It does seem the interiors have not held up well after a couple thousand hours on the airframes. Perhaps because they are rentals with high utilization.

Diamond used a dye process until around 2010 which would permit the perforated center sections of the seats to fade more quickly and from grey to green. It was relatively inexpensive to dye them back to grey.

The rest of the interior is very tough, with little to break, dent, or tear. Flight training use and outdoor storage is hard on any plane - especially one with a low wing and plexi canopy.
