1. The average BT'er wants to learn, help, and share. 'Nuff said.
2. The average BT'er is a reasonable person that doesn't get into pissing contests. Yes, every once in a blue moon, a thread gets into the weeds. But there are hundreds of examples of informative and fair dialogues here. Even better is the regularity that you read about non-Beech products being praised/admired. I find it refreshing. Jeff, you're right on point. Additionally, by having the secret "Beechcraft" only forum room, we can bash the other brands secretly. Just kidding. It is great that pilots and owners of all brands can come here and get an answer. We have such a diverse membership that there is always someone that knows the answer.

I also go to a model specific site, unfortunately the group is so small there are posts requesting technical info and the replies are often years apart. BT has such a large and active base response is often near immediate.
Though I am likely on the bottom of the bell curve, the majority of the posts appear far more intelligent and thoughtful than what I have seen on other forums.
I also note for the most part we are very respectful of each other.
If the site where to go down, no doubt I would need some form of counciling and a twelve step program. Hell, I might even speak to my wife more often, oh' she is wrapped up with Words with Friends.
To the Jeff's, I have been spanked a couple times, thank you for keeping the culture bar high. If I'd have posted a reply, it'd be near duplicate.

While true, it is seldom (almost never) that the average user of a forum is the one that screws it up and makes it unpleasant. The effort to herd the herd, and cull the herd, makes a real difference. I would say I am pretty new to BT but compared to other aircraft specific sites free or otherwise this is one active, which is key to me, and everyone has good discussions where I can learn, even if I don't post. Such as avionics, I like checking there or talking about other, new aircraft.
Plus when you do ask a question, whether it is a post or a PM I feel that people here want to and like to help us all out, regardless of what we fly because all that really matters is that we fly and have fun (safely!).

I'm addicted as much to BT as I am to flying. Can't get enough. So much information, so little time. If I can't get out flying, I can at least hang out here!
