I clearly understand the constitutional duties and enumerated powers of the US Federal Government, which include providing for the common defense. Perhaps you'd enjoy a review of the enumerated powers. You clearly do not understand how the enumerated powers work. Given that I've seen in my lifetime four large civilian aircraft commandeered and utilized as weapons in an undeclared war that killed 3000 Americans and damaged the Pentagon, it would seem that maintaining effective defensive perimeters in the national airspace would quite clearly fall into the category of "providing for the common defense." How that is done and what we pay for it are reasonable discussions. On the other hand, I'm far more concerned about the government expansion into aspects of the nation in which they clearly do not have the constitutional authority nor duty to do so. But hey, it is a lot easier to pop-off like a ignorant fool than it is to educate oneself on such things and apply some grey matter to the issue.

Careful Larry. Others have been disappeared for less.

Uh... Sarcasm, dude. I thought it was so obvious that no green font was required... I see I was mistaken. We are very much in agreement.

I don't get it. Seems like it's something designed to look like a military plane at a higher cost. Why not just add some hard points to a citation and chop the price in half ?

Jeff,
Why would the govt be interested at half cost when there's the opportunity to pay full price plus a premium?

There was a song once had a few lyrics that rang true,
"Come on Wall Street, don't be slow, Why man, this is war au-go-go There's plenty good money to be made By supplying the Army with the tools of its trade, But just hope and pray that if they drop the bomb, They drop it on the Viet Cong."
Maybe that hippie knew more than he looked like he did.
