Hi Tom. Interesting. I'd be interested in a KS-4x4 or KS-6x6 if you'd want to sell it or that's what you have. You can PM me. And thanks for input on camera ship.
Adam if your looking for stabilization I don't think you could do much better than one of these for the price. I got to play with one my friend was using while filming a ski movie. It was a little mind blowing how well it worked.

Not always gonna get distortion...just depends. I have some critically sharp air-air photos that were shot through the plexi of the co-pilot window. The light must be from the left of the planes so there will be no reflections in the photo ship window.

I've seen Cardinals getting used quite a bit, some A36's (Jessica Ambats seem to use that a lot with the rear doors removed). What else? See attached LINK for pictures taken from the back seat of my C182. http://www.airic.ca/html/modernaircraft.htmlphotographer is professional and commented that a C182 is nice due to its speed (not to fast) so that planes (usually faster) can overtake easily and pull up beside in to close quarters for pictures to be taken slightly behind the strut and out the rear/back window. A36, 58, T-tail Lance, Seneca all make excellent platforms. Aircam is good too but it can't do fast.

AirCam is good for wildlife photography since it can go low and slow Attachment: AirCam.jpg

I have done this a lot. In order of readily-available favorites: B58 Seneca II A36 C206 (doors removed) C210 (a little gaffing tape and the window stays affixed to leading edge) Super Cub (front seat shooter with driver in back and both doors open; has required front seat throttle manipulation so it becomes a 'team effort' )
