And yes, part of the $800/hr. Clint, thank you for your insight. We're definitely after a plane with pro parts and PowerAdvantage+ What is your impression of the support you get from Cessna? Parts, AOG help, etc?

The support from Cessna is excellent. Parts availability is probably the best in the industry. I haven't had an AOG experience yet , but in talking with guys that have, they've been very pleased. Cessna has Team Mustang, which is a "go to" group in Wichita to help with technical questions, AOG situations, etc. They also have mobile service units around the country that will come to the airplane when necessary.

Sounds about right. Mustang fuel burn is about 90gph. That is about $200/hr. Remaining $220/hr is about 2 hours of labor for every hour of flight. A fairly new plane doesn't need that much maintenance and is pretty efficient to work on.

Rob,
You can't go wrong with any of the later model Citations!
I like the Mustang, for the trips you described it will be pretty hard to beat, but it is slow. I also like the Premier, though they seem to be hot right now and they are trading at prices higher than I am comfortable with. Another consideration is the CJ line, the CJ1 is a lot faster than the Mustang.
Are they doing multiple stops per trip or is it always out and back in? I ask because I have a client, also a manufacturing company who jumps from location to location several legs in a typical trip. They started out with a 1SP, and then we looked at King Air 300 / 350 but decided to go with a CJ2+ it was more money but a lot faster, so even though the legs are short (you'd think King Air) they can hit more stops in a day. 15 minutes here... 15 there... it adds up. Today they operate a CJ4 and it gives them the ability to get even more done, it's really pretty amazing the trips they accomplish in that airplane.

Contract fuel is good, but it isn't that good generally. $2.20/gallon or less occurs in some places, but it is pretty rare, only 3 CAA airports are that price or less. Since oil is back up to $45, starting to see more pricing in the mid $3 range. That is going to make $800/hour tough to achieve. That statement says you don't understand how the Cessna parts program works.

Username Protected wrote: That statement says you don't understand how the Cessna parts program works. You are correct. I assumed it worked like the engine programs. In this case, you pay by the hour as a credit against parts, and get a refund if you don't use it all at the end. Mike C.

Rob, Let me suggest an Eclipse.
It was designed for your mission.
In every way less expensive than a mustang and faster also.
Vmo of 285 vs 250
As far as DOC's go I just flew myself and two others from CDW to APA orNY to Denver for less than United wanted.
