XLS door is one piece and hinges down. Happened at 2000' departing SFO. Backstory is plane had a history of false door warnings. Door unlocked was on annunciator but crew ignored it.

I am so insanely happy that this is the story of Adam's landing safely; and not another one about one of ours.


Bravo Adam, good flying, in the end, but I totally hear you about doing things wrong; not taking the time, I & most have been guilty as hell that way too. Just again; extremely glad that this isn't the report on an Aerostar with a Friend Piloting who is in a bad way.

Nice job Adam, you landed safely, you gained a lot of priceless experience and you found out your girlfriend was a keeper.
