I´ve been on a commander 840 twice. Beautiful ride and performance. On the 900 & 1000 there is a rear semi circular seating área. Is that a useful space for passengers or is that a lavatory? I remember the 840 had a huuuuge bagagge area.

I'm not saying nothing... but I suspect when these planes were first being built the corporate climate allowed for many a promotion to be earned back there.

Curious what a new 1000 would go for (if they were still in production)?
Say it had a Garmin g1000 or better panel.......$5 million-ish? Any guesses?

840 and 1000 specs both say 2040nm to dry. So whatever you save up there, you lose in the climb probably. The 1000 might be a few knots faster up there.

For a -5 plane, 270 KTAS and 1,600 nm if it's healthy and has LRF - give or take.
