Interesting that PZL chose that name, given that Belphagor was a very handsome man. The story goes that Belph was a second-tier devil in Hell. Satan appointed him to go to earth in order to discover what was wrong with the current marital situation with humans in those times. He arrived in Italy as a studly, wealthy Spanish businessman, and promptly lined up with a beautiful girl who was the spoiled daughter of a rather greedy couple. They pawned her off on him, and he soon enough found out the realities of marital life. He put up with the moaning, whining and spending for a while, grew tired of it, sent the girl back to her parents, and went straight back to hell. There he could at least enjoy a more peaceful life. The short story dates back to the Italian rennaissance, and illustrates that little changes over the course of the centuries.

That was the (very) downunder try at winning this competition.... Agplanes are not built for beauty contests.... (nor are helicopters.....)

Perhaps not but that doesn't mean they must be ugly. I think Air Tractors and similar ag planes are good looking in a utilitarian sort of way. Attachment: image.jpg
