I got to fly the B-2 sim for an hour some years back. I don't know if that still happens in todays world. Incredibly realistic. I had never been in a sim, much less something that sophisticated. As we neared the end of the hour we did a few circuits. On what I thought could be the last landing I touched down and immediately went to full power, pitched up and rolled left. We climbed out in a hard left turn about 100 feet over the hangers. I thought the guy in the right seat was going to have a sh!& fit but I did get in one more circuit. They probably won't invite me back

I'll gladly give up every simulator session of mine for the rest of my career if anyone wants them.

The catch is, you have to prepare and perform as I'm expected to, and you have to assume the same career risk as me.

Oh. Also, you have to accept whatever off body clock time you're given. No fair turning up your nose at the 2 a.m. Session.

One last thing: regardless of YOUR performance, if your sim partner pooches it in the sim, guess who else scores a fail. Oopsie! You!! You ARE a crew, you know?
