By the time they build (I don't mean that in a bad way) 9000 more airplanes you will be provided multiple aircraft by your employer.. All you need is left seat time in a V-tail and you will wonder why you ever said such a thing. Whats better than to fly a V-tail while the only B -29 is in town?????

No, Cessna alone sold more piston airplanes than Cirrus from 1999 to 2014. You can check this out here: http://gama.aero/media-center/industry- ... &submit=GoI didn't do the math, but scanning the numbers, Cirrus was about 25% market share during this time of piston aircraft by count. Mike C.
Cessna sold many of those aircraft to: - flight schools/universities - the federal government to be used for CAP, FBI, DEA...
Also, Cessna had a head-start with very two strong years, cirrus only came into the market by 2001.
Cirrus 9 95 183 397 469 553 600 721 710 549 268 264 255 253 276 308
Cessna 899 912 821 559 588 654 822 865 807 733 355 239 413 283 206 220

The Cessna costs more and has a smaller cabin. Even with a chute, where the Cessna would also suffer lower useful load, I'd buy the Cirrus (again). I can't believe they sell any of them. Of course, I looked at both and already voted with my money.

Max, although true they did stop the "six" and Saratoga line, the piper matrix is unpressurized and was their replacemeant. Having had the opportunity to fly one, they're pretty sweet. Although not "flying" off the shelves, they do sell about a dozen a year.

Cirrus addressed this before, and the answer is that it's only a few knots faster. Wasn't worthwhile to add the cost and complexity to the airframe for a minor increase in speed.

Ok boys, I am definetely not the bright light but how in the world did I miss a B29 being in town? Where? Collings? Crappy day for the fathers day open house at Collings today...thought about it but didn't go.
Kyle, lest we don't converse before you leave, good luck in OKC! Keep us up to date. Lets have a heady topper celebration upon your return!
