Eclipse does't come close and in my estimation won't be contender for much longer. Read ted's thread on Eclipse from about 10 days ago. I was lusting after a 700 c model about 6 months ago....i almost had myself convinced that i could afford it.....then I woke up disturbed by how real the dream had seemed.

Username Protected wrote: Here's an interesting comparison of depreciation of TBM850 to Mustangs from Vref. Clearly the market favors TBM850 over the Mustangs. I don't have data on the PC12 but my guess is the data is even better: And there is my point. The first guy takes a 15% whack in a year. The next guy can own for 5 years and only lose a few percent vs. new. This is almost universal unless the supply is limited. Nothing new here....
The TBM 850 was offered with what essentially is a free 5 year maintenance program. That's a big value and changes the depreciation curve.

These long range cruise fuel flow numbers are wrong. Here are the cruise charts from the POH. Username Protected wrote: Outstanding performance...Well done

Wow, 9 pages without a twin vs single debate . That was quite a wing drop in that stall demo (or perhaps it was just a weird camera angle)!

+1, I agree. Username Protected wrote: That was quite a wing drop in that stall demo (or perhaps it was just a weird camera angle)! That didn't look like a stall demo. AOA was basically 0. The aileron went up quickly, so it looked like he was just demoing the rate of roll into a turn.

I thought it was too good to be true... I pulled it from the aopa article.
