No extra tanks, but they do make active winglet tips..

Did you happen to look at the price tag for the active winglets???

$59,649.00

Ouch. No thanks. At current prices, that is ~12,000 gallons of 100LL.

Through the decades it holds true.People are still comparing their new planes to the Bonanza. And it was designed during WW11,first test flight December 22 1945.

The Cirrus is a fantastic plane. Speaks for its self by the sheer numbers sold.
I have never met a unhappy SR-22 owner as of yet.
Congratulations and you will have many pleasurable hours are ahead of you.
Did Neal sell your V-Tail??

Thanks! - yes Neal sold it and did a transparent, above standard job, as usual.

But the cost to add tip tanks to a G36 is fairly small when compared to the total price of a G36 which is why you see many G36's with tip tanks and/or TAT TN systems.

You would think that the company gets the hint and offered the plane with turbo and a better useful load. Well, they did, about 7 years late.

Ale,

Congrats on your new "plane".

The french are nice to work with, at least we speak the same language.

Alejandro,

Congratulations on your new airplane! I think you should consider painting it with your company graphics like the 911. It would certainly improve its appearance! :D

Funny how this thread has the usual anti Cirrus comments. We all have our favorites and solid reasons why we like the one we fly. But I'm always amused by the Cirrus bashers. Many who have never flown the plane...

For the mission you described to me the Cirrus makes a great deal of sense. I hope you enjoy it as long as the mission lasts and then it will be fun to watch you change planes!

Tony...you are right.

I was one of those Cirrus bashers until I actually flew one for the first time and then bought one following the sale of my Baron. I had expected to buy another Bonanza as I love them as well but was ready to make the change after first hand experience.

Thanks Tony. So funny I too was guilty of bashing the Cirrus, test flying it for 1/2 hour changed all that.

But don't get me wrong guys, I love Beechcraft, such beautiful and special machines.

Ale,

Nothing against you, but this one might just stick to the cirri banter! (That Bo of your even had me tempted and I already have one!).

Good one, Mike!

Congrats, Ale!! I am a Beech-lover like most (all) here, but if you have ever flown a Cirrus, you know it is a very capable and very enjoyable aircraft. Fly safe...
