After a meeting today, I am told (not from Tamarack) that EASA plan to replace the EAD with an AD next week. To comply you must have fitted both the TCU upgrade and the centering strips- so comply with both of the SBs issued before the EAD was issued. This appears to be tightly coordinated with the FAA so they should issue a matching resolution quickly after.

I wonder what will happen (if anything) regarding the very suspect PIREP out of Europe that started this... Man do I feel for my 525 brethren who have the winglets. I couldn't imagine my bird being down this long for something that realistically is a non-issue if the SB has been complied with. Ouch. Really hope they get that resolution here in the next couple of days...

Here is a recent flight test video of dual asymmetric failure.

EASA has now lifted the EAD. You just need to complete a new service bulletin that incorporates the two service bulletins that were out before this whole debacle began. ie it was all for pretty much nothing.

Sounds like the route to getting in the air in the US is going to be a bit more involved. Shouldn’t be too bad - a global AMOC based on the EASA decision. May just take a few more days.

The global AMOC has just been released. FAA aircraft are now cleared to fly. Very quick process seemingly because everyone (in particular the regulators) agrees the ADs were, in the end, a bit stupid.

That’s really good. Hopefully the tarnish polishes off easily.

Hope it's not too late for Tamarack to remain in business.

Mike C. That assumption was wrong thankfully. Andrew

Ha Mike, of course they didn't say that. But they both approved flight based on the preexisting service bulletins. Which means that the ADs essentially achieved nothing other than validate that the problems had already been solved.
