I am 6'3 200 lbs and am perfectly comfortable and have flown 3:30 legs in the 100 and don't feel cramped. I don't have room to stretch out or anything but I don't feel the need for it. Maybe they comparing to a Legacy 450/500 I sat it one at NBAA and the pilot seat felt like a Lazy Boy. Even had a pop-up tray table under the PFD for eating/laptop.

From Osama, That speed was at the top of the climb before the plane accelerated. I typically see M.75 ~ M.77 and depending on temps and weight that translates to about 410 ~ 440 knots at FL450. The plane can do 450 knots at FL370.

You may want to give him a friendly reminder to not be filmed breaking FAR 91.211.B. (which seems to occur in the second vid you posted) There have been aviation YouTubers targeted for less (such as lack of sterile cockpit below 10,000 on a part 91 flight, which isn't even regulatory operating under those flight rules...). Osama seems like a good dude, and I want to see more videos of that beast, so I don't want to see him go dark from some hassle like that. I’m surprised the FAA have the resources to sit around watching u tube videos and trying to ping someone for a bust they didn’t bust. I did a 61.58 with an FAA guy at FSI and he made it clear they were under resourced. Andrew

I think your mileage will vary heavily depending on the region. This seems true even for things like certain permitting, single pilot authorization, STC work, etc. Seems pretty similar to other enforcement topics. I'm in Ohio right now and if caught doing 80 in a 65 it's going to be a ticket, but in Southern California I wouldn't get a second look by CHP on main OC highways at that speed. The guy in the right seat was a pilot, sufficiently briefed to qualify as the second pilot. I never thought that the other pilot needed to be typed. Just says pilot. Look at all the other jet videos (won't say who) with a non typed pilot in the right.

Username Protected wrote: Way to go Mr Osama! Looks like he was watching his SVT during the take off roll, instead of outside. Is that the prescribed way? I couldn't tell that. I'm sure his eyes are going up and down. Remember he has to monitor the airspeeds and call them out. So he cannot be as heads up as if he was in a slower aircraft.

I'm sure not being typed (SIC at least), and probably even worse if no high altitude endorsement for the right seater, if that is the case, is technically a problem for above FL350 in terms of 91.211. However even if the benefit of the doubt is given, once you go above FL410 one of them has to have the mask on, unless there is something special exempting that in a P300?
