Popular airplanes command premium prices. There are buyers and there are sellers............when it comes to both boats and airplanes deals can be had......sometimes you have to wait a fair bit...........
Real sellers will entertain real offers........cash in hand is a real offer..........
If you call around you get to realize that many airplanes on Controller are NOT really for sale.............
Had a call yesterday for someone wanting to buy my airplane.........told him to give me their price and I'd tell him whether I would sell..........crickets.........
I like it when broker/agent is searching the field for none listed deals.........IF they're truly looking for non-listed deals............
I'm glad JC is starting at 1.3MM, not to offend Bruce/Chip or anyone else out there, I'd most probably start at a million..........I don't mind people mad at me, actually the very, very least of my concerns...........it's definitely a small market and I would prefer to be known as the cheap ass, wanting a screaming deal, who can do it tomorrow.........
Bought a number of boats that way...........always someone, somewhere with their 'tit in a ringer' that needs something to happen right away..........and yes, sometimes dealers will jump in a snag the good deals, but not always...........
Absolute prices on airplanes, give me an f'n break

Absolute prices on airplanes, give me an f'n break I get at least 1 call/PM/Email a month asking if I'd sell my Pilatus. When I decide to sell, I'll list it on BT first like I did with my Bonanza that sold in a week. I don't not believe any Phenom 100 owners are receiving un-solicited offers to buy..

It will probably sell for around $1.1. Offer $1,025,000.
It is on TAP, has GTN750's and ADS-B, and a flushing potty. Maintenance looks up to date with a recent Doc10 and precooler SB completed. So the buyer can fly it for the next 3 years with little maintenance expense. Those AI & HSI displays are getting expensive to repair if they fail.
As CJ's go this one looks ready to fly.

Agree. Also if your budget is 1.3 it's good to find something for 1. Taxes alone in CA add 100k unless you can do the interstate commerce exemption.

That said.... I think it's more desirable than the Phenom 100 but only because it's less expensive on the used market.

The days on market were not bad... less than 6 months in most cases...
I think they may be selling a little better than you think.
Controller is always full of airplanes that are not really for sale... or have already sold. Listing brokers need ads so they typically leave them up as long as possible. Chip, you have an average price for the 19 sales? Or a low and high price for the 19?

If a guy makes a lowball offer or stiffs the seller on a demo flight, the word gets around. What's "stiffing a seller on a demo flight"? Not paying for fuel as agreed? Taking a demo flight and then not making an offer? Demoing and then making a low offer? Something else? I've offered to buy fuel on all 4 [piston] demo flights I took; in 1 instance, I did; in the other three, my offer was turned down. I bought three of the four planes and didn't make an offer on the fourth at all.

I had a helluva time trying to get any of the brokers selling any Phenom 100 to get my ass in the plane. I even offered to charter one once for a flight to Naples. Always an abundance of excuses. AVEX and TBM just made it too easy. They gave me a great deal on a trade in on my plane and an offer I couldn't pass up to move up to a G1000 850. I really liked the Phenom 100....

Yes, taking a demo flight and not paying for fuel / program cost. More of an issue on jets than pistons because of the cost involved.
When I was still on the sales side we got stiffed for a $3000 fuel bill... plus we had to pay the pilot, landing fees, programs, etc.
