Tom G,
I'm kinda a small guy (5-11, 168), and I did fly my RV-6 45 hours over 12 days around the country. I fit in it pretty easily, but the center stick is annoying with the legs after a couple hours.
By the way, the Lyc IO-360 that many RV's have is 180 hp and pulls those 1000-pound machines along at like 170 KTAS....not bad.
If I was a 2-airplane guy, I'd still have an RV.

How small is that rear seat in the F1? Too.... Seriously, I fit in the back seat, but not really comfortable. It is fine for a 5'8" size person. Huge baggage compartment. The heat in the back seat is marginal in the winter if the sun isn't shining. With the EVO wing, it is a bit aft CG challenged. The Sport wing is a little fwd CG. My airplane with a 150# backseater I can fill the baggage compartment. 2 people for a week, a hard hat bag, and a guitar. With a 200# backseater, I need to be a little careful, or the landings with low fuel get sporty.... I fly mine all over the US. ~200 hrs per year, and it is fantastic IFR X/C transportation and will beat the airlines everytime (>1200 nm) from where I live, 2 hrs from a major airport.

I knew there had to be a BT thread on RV's. I just switched clubs from the "Two Aircraft" to the "Multi - Aircraft" club with this sweet little addition (RV-6 -- IO360)! Attachment: RV-6.jpg I guess I like GREEN -- here is my Deb! Attachment: inflght left rear.jpg Getting the tailwheel endoresment in a Super Cub a month ago and finally trained to proficiency in the RV (OK, proficiency is a broad term), I have not had as much fun in a long time. OK, except when I get to fly the Devil Dog :-) Attachment: RV w Devil Dog.jpg

Here is my 2016 RV-14A. My wife & I flew it back from Arizona to Florida. On that flight I was averaging 165k on around 9.1-9.2 GPH. She has a factory new IO-390 putting out 210HP. Very few of these puppies flying so far. This past weekend, I installed 2 new Emagair.com PMags. Electronic Ignition with a wasted spark system, plus they both have built in alternators in case of electrical failure. I haven't had the chance to test fly much because of the Trump TFR this Thanksgiving week. The talk is better power and efficiency and best of all, NO HOT Start issues. I have the Dynon HDX all set for 2020. I need to add an avidyne IFD so I can fly approaches. Attachment: N214PS.jpg

Sheldon,
Very nice! Do you have sunscreen curtains at the top of your canopy?
