Yea I flew it a couple weeks ago right seat out to Colorado and back. Great airplane! Very impressive with its smooth, quiet and fast performance. I loved it.

The pictures do not do it justice - the airplane is simply stunning and looks brand new. It even has that "new jet smell" in the cabin Drew, Tyler and I met up in San Antonio and I also had a chance to see Drew's beautiful F33. We are going to have to get you to come down with your Bonanza to Central Mexico for a visit. I will call you guys when I return to Houston next week - perhaps we can join up for a beer.

I like the touch screen aspect of the GTN's. However the integration of the G1000 would certainly a nice improvement. Brent - if you're ever down in the Texas area and I'm around, I'll trade you a spin around the patch in your RTD for one in the CJ. I've heard the RTD is a beast and have always been intrigued by it. Regarding the GTN conversion, it is definitely a very good option and probably the best path for ADS-B compliance for the straight CJ's with legacy avionics. The G600 is not an option on the 525 though - it is for the older 500/550 series Citations. With all of the remote goodies with or without the Garmin radar, you'd have a very nice setup. When I was deciding what to do, I ran the numbers on both and decided on the G1000 because the relative difference was not that much. The G1000 is fully integrated including all of the engine instruments and also includes a new radar and the GFC700 autopilot which is a superb AP. Cessna also throws other incentives that make it worthwhile like a hefty discount on ProParts and a new black panel. If you're ever contemplating doing this, let me know and I'll be happy to share what I learned along the way.

I flew a CJ3 last week with the PL21 and the autopilot seemed great. How does the GFC700 compare? Is the PL21 AP known to be crappy?
