Nope. Don't think that I have an obligation to inform them. It sure would have made headlines if I augured it in. But alas all went swimmingly.

I can verify that it is a huge attraction and therefore has been touched by many! There was a BeechJet on the ramp at the home drone. I taxied to the hangar which was between me and the beechjet. They couldn't see the airplane or the Cup. Next thing you know 8 guys come running around the corner saying they heard the Cup was here. Pictures and fondling. Then two tower personnel walked up. On the return flight to the Soo we landed at 9pm. A dozen people were waiting. Seems the FBO operator tracked the tail number and let some friends and family know.

It has to be the most recognized sports trophy in the world.

I don't often leave the controls unattended but when I do the autopilot is not engaged.

Hey Mark, I know this is the wrong thread, but a float plane flew over my house yesterday morning (I live 40 miles north of Green Bay). I instantly thought of you. Did you happen to fly this direction Monday morning?

I guess people are putting PTT buttons in citation bathrooms now too. I thought it was just a PC12 problem.

It has been said that the most interesting man in the world always keeps a mic with a 14' long cord in his flight bag ...

Well Bruce...Scherrie and I would just turn the speaker on when flying the Commander. The controls were unattended but the AP was definitely engaged. Of course, I was younger and foolish back in the day.

Scherrie used to work at Eagle Creek.
