Awesome place!! just got home today just short of 4K miles in two weeks. Stayed in Spearfish, rode out of SF Bay Area with 90 bikes. Great people, and a Great country. Definitely going back.

Why do you need them on for takeoff and landing? Username Protected wrote: Mark - what is that oscillating noise? It sounds like the igniters but they seem a bit loud or were they just amplified through the IC? Ignitors...some are louder than others. Don't know why.

Cuz it says so on the checklist! I suspect it is a redundancy thing. Always making sure you have ignition during vurnerable phases of flight. Pretty sure the AC90 has the same requirement.

Total error on my part. Question is why? Best I can figure is was a fairly challenging takeoff. 3400 feet with a 45 deg 30 knot wind. Narrow runway. I was super focused and I suspect 5000 hours of twin flying where moving your hand off the throttle at V1 WASN'T SOP took over. One reason for moving your hand is to make sure you don't try to stop post V1. Honestly had there been an issue I may have made the wrong choice purely from muscle memory Really glad that you pointed that out. Something to think about next time.
