Lesson learned (by him) - do your research before writing a check! That's too bad, but the chance that a good rigging could have made that airplane fly straight is extremely high. My 182 is on at least its 3rd firewall and flies dead straight. It was first crashed with 6.8 hours on the Hobbs back in 1967, and on the second crash (years before I owned it), got the newer, stronger firewall. There's no particular reason to think that the first remedy for a flies-crooked squawk is to sell the airplane.

I got an older model (1961) specifically for that reason........... plus its a bit smaller than the subsequent model (4" narrower fuselage). Plus, it has a higher setting landing gear..... as a bonus, I got the Pponk engine upgrade and the 206 nose fork etc, extended baggage, jump seats etc. Now If I just got to fly left seat...........
