Your gross weight is 200#'s higher. This airplane was very decked out. It had infrared even. Ryan, You said it was a G5 which all have the 3600 lb gross. Perhaps you meant G3?

The Bonanza has a high gear speed and is a big help to get down fast. I have been flying an RV-10 lately and really miss being able to drop the gear for drag. Cirrus just bumped the initial flap speed from 119 to 150 on the G5. Should help!
Charlie,
It's a huge improvement. You can come screaming up to just before the FAF, pull power out, hit 150, drop 50% flaps and proceed down the GS at normal approach speeds quite easily. I don't do it that way but I have seen it demonstrated and it makes the point. The plane is quite easy to slow down.

Tony,
Yes G3. G5 has a significant advantage in payload.
