I honestly don't track expenses. It takes the fun out of things.
My rough figures for the C421 were $750/hr. and for the MU2, $1100/hr., but I am going 295-300 kts.
My last service center annual 100/200 hr. was ~14K and that included an OH starter/generator, gear motor and a rudder bearing. 3 days down time. The year before that was ~$13K and included the other side starter/generator and new batteries. Next year, I have props, so it will be higher.
I have needed virtually no mx in between my annual visits beyond flat tires, avionics upgrades and chasing an autopilot issue.

I would venture there are very few pressurized twin piston guys (who actually fly their birds) who could ever make that claim.

That is worth at least a few hundred per hour IMO :-) Isn't that the truth! For the past few years my oldest son, now 8, would always comment when hearing a TP or jet starting up that it was the most beautiful sound in the world! Someone trained that boy right....just sayin..

Agree 1000%. The first 5 seconds right as start is initiated and the corresponding just as the shutdown is initiated are my favorite. (I may occasionally imitate those sounds while driving alone in my car)

Pics or it didn't happen, right?
Keep in mind, this is a 100hr with a P2T2 swap (engine came off, part installed, engine reinstalled, only part under warranty), reinstall the Strikefinder with new harness, polished a window for crazing, installed a new Bose jack, SOAP sample included. The extra is fuel.
This is a certified service center, not Joe Mechanic. Do that in a Commander or a King Air.

The issue is the fit of the mink sock on the separator. You can get yours fixed, too. It isn't supposed to do that. Next time you have it in the shop, have the mechanic check the separator and aspirator carefully. Now I can fly into humid Florida and it doesn't spit water. Mike C.
1st squak on the list to remedy when 425SA goes in for an AOA install.

Here is another data point. just completed a 150hr inspection on my Commander.
It came in a little less than my average annual cost for my 421 and cheaper per hour than the MU-2 invoice posted for a 100hr inspection.
MU-2 cost $109 per hour Commander $89 per hour
This is a 12 page invoice from Naples jet center addressing over 30 items.

This is a 12 page invoice addressing over 30 items. It's not that simple. How many hours per year do you fly? You would also have to dig into the inspection programs a little deeper than that. For instance, my last inspection was a 100/200HR/1/2YR Inspection. I have no idea what the Commander intervals are. It also makes a difference where it is serviced. The MU2 prices posted above are service centers. Less expensive labor can be had, if one desires. Basically, it appears that the yearly inspections are very similar between the two airframes, for the average owner operator. Steve, your airplane really is super nice! And you have made us well aware that it is the best airplane one could own.
