Pointed out the run way is rough as hell, and you can actually see the hood bouncing/right stick moving in the cockpit so the ailerons are indeed tightly coupled to it. Hilarity of other "explanations" ensue.
It's at least comforting, I suppose, to know the "disease" is not localized in one locale.
Ego being the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity is not a localized phenomena. Rest easy folks.
Mmhmm, evidently you’ve not seen the video of peter fixing the control stick in place firmly then moving the ailerons demonstrating 1/2” to 3/4 of play at the trailing edges. Interestingly the RH aileron appears to have more play than the LH aileron. In the video it’s dismissed as “just a bit of play”. Rough runway my ass.

Folks can watch the video and decide for themselves. Starts at the correct time.

Just to clarify, Chris: you maintain that the raptor will meet all the objectives: price/range/speed, correct? Willing to take a bet?

No. He can not meet his objectives as stated given the increase in weight.
What I also said is if he get's within even 75% of his stated goals (which I think he has a great shot at) it is a revolutionary achievement.
I have also said this bird is going to get cleaner, lighter, and cheaper with each iteration.
So to continue in the spirit of quoting Cato the Elder...
Είναι καλύτερα να στοχεύεις τον ουρανό και να χάσεις, τότε πρέπει να στοχεύσεις την κόλαση και να φτάσεις.

Username Protected wrote: Quick question: why do you keep quoting Marcus Porcius Cato in Greek, when he wrote everything in Latin, and is only known to have a limited education in Greek?
Are you SURE you know who Cato was? Cause you're quoting wrong! Very little of of what Cato the Elder directly wrote survives. Most of his quotes come from Plutarch. All of the Elite in Rome wrote in Greek after the middle republic. It was the lingua franca for the educated.

Username Protected wrote: Complete BS. The fact that Cato wrote in Latin, is known as one of the first historian in Latin, and as an opponent of anything Greek, is a fact.
And MANY of his writings remain. Start with the one about agriculture: De Agri Cultura.
Or his speeches.
Please, PLEASE, if you can't admit you're wrong, just stop. This is EXACTLY what I am talking about. And it applies to the general discussion from the perspective you get one guy spouting off complete BS and because it sounds like a reasonable argument it cast shade on the truth... So to bury this for those unclear.... Name one OTHER complete work of Cato the Elder that has survived. There are no others. Zero. Period. Full Stop. De Agri Cultura is both the ONLY complete surviving work of Cato AND is regarded as a jumbled mess by historians because the Latin was so poorly written.
