I post here very little but love this site. A year or so I was considering a S35 Bonanza but decided it didn't really fit my needs. That's what got me started here. Even though I ended up buying a 182 in July I find this site very informative with an upbeat attitude. Too bad Cessna Pilot Association isn't a bit more lively. Just thought I'd thank all you guys for all the great info. I still have the dream of owning a Baron, so I may be a Beech owner here someday. Cheers!

I think that's part of it. Tom - think I saw your but Baron on the ramp at IXD a week or two ago. I was friends with the previous owner so it was like seeing an old friend! Great looking bird you have.

I think that's part of it. Real names, and referees that kick the ball back in bounds when it strays. Dan

COPA (Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association) uses real names, but the political referees are non-existent, and the website is technically dysfunctional, making it a disagreeable place to visit after a while, which is a shame. The Jeffs run a first class website that stands the test of time. I can understand why the Beech folks at times think I'm an outsider, but in truth BT has the best pilot-owner website in general aviation, and I'm grateful for it.

I've been here since the beginning. BT, long ago, became a big part of my life, and I've benefited in so many ways, too many to list actually. I love BT! The credit for this forum, of course, goes to Jeff Snyder and Jeff Carneal. Jeff C. is an expert computer programmer. He designed the software that we use. Both of them take the time to monitor the posts and, thankfully, eliminate offensive political, religious and other bad taste posts/threads. Long may she live...BeechTalk!

BT obviously heavy on Beech input, but from what I see due to its openness it is the largest GA forum out there. I also go to a model specific site, unfortunately the group is so small there are posts requesting technical info and the replies are often years apart. BT has such a large and active base response is often near immediate.
Though I am likely on the bottom of the bell curve, the majority of the posts appear far more intelligent and thoughtful than what I have seen on other forums.
I also note for the most part we are very respectful of each other.
If the site where to go down, no doubt I would need some form of counciling and a twelve step program. Hell, I might even speak to my wife more often, oh' she is wrapped up with Words with Friends.
To the Jeff's, I have been spanked a couple times, thank you for keeping the culture bar high.
