Some friends flew 4 P-51s over the start of the White Sox vs Cubs redo of their game 70 years ago.
2 P-51s I maintain participated and Kate Upton rode in another and posted a short video on the internet.

Stan is a great guy but wasn't doing this gig.
Pilots were Jim Beasley, Gen Tommy Williams, Andrew McKenna and Vlado Lenoch.

Finally a thread where there is absolutely nothing in which to object.

Carry on Kate.

Interesting that they were able to do the stadium flyover - thought the FAA was clamping down on those for experimental aircraft. Maybe different for warbirds/exhibition vs amateur built.

Very cool nonetheless!

The P-51 C, D, K can be Limited Category, although there are some experimental.
The Limited Category is a variation of Standard Category and all the same rules and benefits apply.
There is a type certificate just like any Baron or Bonanza has.
So these 4 are not Exp Category.

Thanks - did not know that. Is that true of most warbirds?
