Well, it's time for me to come clean and confess. It's been said many times here on BeechTalk, "Life is short, so burn Jet-A." I made the decision to sell my Bonanza and buy a Citation Mustang. It all happened faster than I thought. I found a nice 2009 Mustang, made an offer, received acceptance, put my Bonanza up for sale, received multiple offers, and after both pre-buy inspections, we closed the two transactions at the same time. It couldn't have gone any smoother.
I went through the initial training at Flight Safety in Wichita and received my type rating last Tuesday. It was very good training. They're very thorough, and for anyone looking to make this type of transition, I'd recommend them. Jumping from a Bonanza to a Mustang is a bit of a leap, but it can be done without a hitch if one is committed to it.
I absolutely love the Mustang. It flies like a Bonanza on steroids and fits my mission perfectly. It's an amazingly capable airplane. I'd like to give a special shout out to Jason Talley for his encouragement in pursuing a Mustang. Also, I noticed Eric Saacks recently moved into a Mustang as well from his G58 Baron. It's contagious!
And finally, I know I know... pictures or it didn't happen.

Clint I believe I sat in the right seat of that particular Mustang a few years ago, on a trip from Shreveport, LA...
Still one of the only times I have been able to sit in the front seat of a jet from startup all the way to shutdown. I am le jealous!
