So, I know someone who currently owns a Beech, but is interested in a Skymaster to help with the aches and pains of getting older (no climbing over the wing). At 5k hours you have to inspect the spar with some eddy-current magic, and then every 500 (I think) or so hours thereafter.

Someone with some experience in these matters, please answer these questions:
How much work is really involved in the eddy current inspection?
What is a ballpark price for performance of said inspection?
