John G, Wade, Paul, Mark, John O, and everyone else who wrote such kind comments...I am truly humbled and honored that you all recommended me to to Gene. Hopefully that means that I have been doing something right and that my hard work is paying off!
I spoke with Gene for a while on the phone today and we talked in depth about his situation but it does appear that we will be working together on a few things going forward so for that, I am grateful to all of you for your recommendations. No BT'er will ever pay for a beer in my presence! And I look forward to hopefully helping Gene move out of his Mooney and into an A36.
And yes Wade, it is time that I send back some more money to the Jeff's. Their dedication, generosity, and passion is unprecedented. They too, will never pay for a meal or drink in my presence. Ever.
-Neal

-Neal Neal, You are a gentleman. My suggestion was only in jest. You earn every bit of your commission. I have never looked back at my decision. I am glad Gene has asked you to help him. I can reassure him that he will be a happy camper when he steps into his new Beechcraft. When are you coming back to NC so we can take my finely tuned B36 for a good long flight? I would be interested in hearing your comments.

My A36 trues 174 ROP and 167 LOP. How fast are Ovations? Also, are the seats mounted flush with the floor like earlier Mooneys? That was the one thing that sold my wife on Beechcrafts. She said "OMG, we are sitting up in a chair and not sitting on the floorboard". I am not sure I have looked real close at a late model Mooney. Heck my flight instructor at GATTS dropped a pen on the floor of my A36 the first flight and was shocked that he could not reach the floor to pick it up. I told him to get another one out of the glovebox because they are heck to pick up down there.

As for the speed, seriously. The Ovation and the Bravo will hurt your feelings as will the Cirrus SR-22. Green All true. The mooney seating is more sports car-like than the Bo and the Ovation is 10-15kts faster, probably because it makes a smaller hole in the air.

Jgreen I think so as well, John. A Beech feels more...solid. Although that Mooney wing will hold in there until 11+ G, A Beech feels like it was built like an airliner. To me it is a "more for more" solution. More money, more gas, more comfort and more room. It is a big substantial airplane that you climb up on rather than squeeze in. I know for a fact passengers feel more comfortable in a Bonanza. The Beech feels like a Cadillac with a 425 engine. A big American statement about how we can travel when we want to. The Mooney feels more like a 911. If you desire a Mooney Acclaim, then its a 911 Turbo, that TSIO-550G will run 237 knots. 200 knots if you want to make TBO.
