I was surprised to see the absence of winglets after our discussion a while back. The consensus was that they look sexy on GA pistons, but really only benefit jetliners way up high. This new 74 is supposed to be a 467 pax, 8,000 mi long range monster. http://www.avweb.com/eletter/archives/a ... tml#204288333,000# of fuel? How long would a Bo fly on that much 100LL? LOP, of course ...I understand it's common practice to leave the gear down on a maiden flight, but being an established airframe, I'm kinda surprised they left the gear down so long...I understand it was a 4+ hour flight, they hadda bring it up eventually, right? I wonder if they ran a tank dry, you know, so they would know the airplane better...
