I'm thinking about possibly doing paint and interior on my C425 and I'm wondering what I should budget for that. For the paint job, I'd like a complete strip so that any issues like corrosion, working rivets, etc. can be spotted and fixed. I'm interested in a high quality paint job meaning the prep+primer+paint system used will result in a long lasting and durable finish. I'm not as interested in a really elaborate paint scheme though. The plane is more of a tool than a jewel and basic white with a couple of colors on top and a basic scheme is good enough for me. I feel the same way about the interior. Obviously I'd like good quality leather but elaborate stitching and multiple colors aren't that important. I'd rather have an interior that's well made with durable, high quality materials and will stand up to being removed and replaced over the years during inspections.
What should I budget for this and what are the shops I should consider?

I talked to Rose Wood in Mena today and am waiting for a quote. https://rose-wood.com They seemed to say all the right things and are booking about 6 months out. They told me 6 weeks downtime.

So, here I am in So. Cal. where the constraints are crazy hard. I've even been told I can't use Epoxy (most durable), but only the more modern two part paints. Am I being fed a line or something? I could use some advise on a Los Angeles area painter. Thanks

As another point of reference, I got quotes from a few of the specialty MU2 shops: Paint 55-65k and interior 50-60k.

I'd guess the cheaper places would be more than $100K. The better places > $150k. More $$ if any corrosion. Would not surprise me. We were quoted 32K for the LA-200. The guy has apparently done some great work on Lakes, but 32K gave me pause simply because of the likely market value. I still might do it, but getting a hanger in coastal Florida is a mission that calls for Ethan Hunt apparently. To paint a cabin class turbine---yikes.
