Where do Rans builders go for advice, support, etc now? I don't know about that site particularly, but a lot of other good aviation resources have died from being over-run by people debating politics and social issues unrelated to aviation. A good argument for the admins here to rule with an iron fist.

it's not as bad over on the kitfox forum (Thank god as I'm building and there is a wealth of info) but it's no where near as active as it is here. I don't know what the secret sauce is here but it's has to be a delicate balance to keep people engaged. Is there an active facebook group maybe? people have to be getting info some place. Depending on what you are looking for I have good luck reaching out to builders who post on youtube as well.
