I own Bearhawk plans but am looking more at this as a way to actually complete a kit and fly years sooner.
As much as I loathe the appearance of the rivets as they’ve aged on many Maules I’ve looked at while daydreaming/shopping, the pull rivet construction makes me think one could build this as fast as they were comfortable reallocating from their 401k.
The eventuality of a 3rd jump seat seems inevitable. We really need to haul bicycles until our bodies say no mas, so this scratches that itch, but an optional seat would be useful a few times a year too.

There's a thread on the RV site asking who will use pulled rivets, and who will dimple/countersink and use flush rivets. Several are planning on flush rivets just for the appearance.

How's the total build cost looking compared to a turn key 540 powered Maule or restored 70s 180/A185F? Just cost of the kit, FWF, avionics, paint, interior, wheels tires brakes Tailwheel without any time included.
Granted it will probably perform better than those two.

Granted it will probably perform better than those two. $200-250K, depending on the panel and paint. The benefit for that price? New everything, and you can wrench on it yourself. Also, better performance, but only 2 seats.
