Hi, I own a Cherokee 6. It is time for an upgrade from a Narco CP-136 audio panel. The two audio panels on the subject are what I have found to be best in the market for the type of plane. I am happy to get suggestions for less expensive options that will allow for better integration with the;
Current: 530waas stec-20 autopilot Future: Dual GI 275 or dual G5s, gi 275 eis/jpi 830/jpi 900), gnc 215, GTX 375, gfc 500 autopilot Maybe a GTN 750 or an IFD 540/550 when the 530waas takes a turn.
What are your thoughts? I really appreciate any help you can provide.

What are your thoughts? I really appreciate any help you can provide. You are currently “driving” a ford pinto. You are asking the group whether a Ferrari or Lamborghini is the best choice. Seriously though, both of the those audio panels are light years ahead of what you’re using. Each of them has some very minor pluses, that honestly aren’t even noticed by most. I’ve owned both. This is an easy decision because you really can’t go wrong with either.

Both are excellent. I love the 450b. The only plus with the garmin is if you plan on potentially doing a remote panel and could control the audio panel from tbe 750. That saves you a slot of space. That is the only real plus of going garmin. Otherwise they are fairly equal.

Thank you, I am leaning towards Garmin so far with remote mounts on radios, and so due to limited spacing.

I just replaced my GMA345 with a PMA450B My opinion - Sound is better with the PS Engineering equipment If you listen to XM while flying, the PMA450 is more flexible for music distribution I prefer the user interface on the PS Engineering product. Maybe that's just because I have more experience with their product

I have a -450 and a Bose QC-35 with an N-flight mic. The music quality is nearly breathtaking.
And the ability to listen to Atis and Atc at the same time and actually hear both in different ears is magic.
The -340 is a perfectly capable audio panel, but the -450 is a significant step up.

What do you mean by 340 is a significant step up? What product are you referring too?

How about future proofing? Does each module work with remote mount radios and so forth?
