“Shorts” don’t embed. It may be a YouTube thing or it might be the forum software, but only the full length videos imbed.

I look forward to seeing this when it’s reassembled. The museum is a 35 minute drive from my house.

Looks like the vert stab & rudder were just cut clean off?

I’m guessing there are parts unseen that hold the assembly on. Probably behind access panels on the other side. I can’t imagine that Martin built it so that it couldn’t be taken apart.

An earlier quote in a news article, posted in one of the responses, said it was going to be disassembled at the factory joints. I'll find it and repost.

Here is the link to the article and the specific quote.

https://www.oakbaynews.com/local-news/p ... ay-7709546

The aircraft’s journey will conclude in Arizona, where it will be disassembled at its factory production joints and transported to the Pima Air and Space Museum.

Even though this plane will never fly again, I can not imagine that the Pima Air & Space Museum would allow actual cutting off of parts.

Just heard from a warbird friend that lives in Phoenix area who said its the “Pima crew” that is doing the disassembly. I’m sure they have a good handle on this.

Hope you are correct. From the photo, it just looked too clean of a line to be production joints.

I would expect a factory production joint to be very straight, especially when viewed from 50 feet away. Maybe you were expecting a reciprocating saw line? That would be cutting.
