Members of the Cessna Advanced Aircraft Club also get access to the paid-for subscriptions to the full maintenance manuals, all SB’s and technical documents as part of membership.
That alone is well worth the small annual dues for the club. I’ll check on that. I want those orifices for a different (Experimental) project so just wanting to see that one part. Although I’ve been salivating over that ES-P on Controller lately

It appears the sonic venturi is actually a Continental engine component, not an airframe component.

from what i understand, the designers of the airframe were very frustrated with all of the changes they had to make to appease the type-certification process, and the resulting product was several hundred pounds heavier due to this conjecture though, i've never saw any supporting details
It’s true. Straight from Lance Neibauer. The empty weight on the Columbia is 2600# he said the engineers said it was WAY overbuilt.

Dealer I worked for had a nice 182 and a Columbia 400 at the same time. Man, I loved that 182… but the Columbia is SO much more airplane, especially in turbulence! In the summer we never flew the 182.

No doubt. I came from a T182T and the 400 just soaks up the bumps in comparison. I really had no idea the difference wing loading would make in terms of turbulence.
I occasionally miss my 182 but the 400 is a different plane altogether.
