Hi there - does anyone happen to have an electronic copy of the POH or AFM or whatever they had in 1958 for that model 172?
Might go look at one with a friend. Particularly looking for the W&B and performance section. The plane is several hours away, and the owner seems 'electronically challenged' so the more research I can do up front, the better.
got plenty of time in 172's, but I've learned my lesson with buying planes with respect to weight and balance, load, performance, etc. so I never even entertain looking at one unless I satisfy myself there.
Note the above comment does not apply to my Deb, which is PERFECT for me :-D
thanks in advance! adam

I wonder how close the 1959 POH is. I have one in excellent condition if anyone needs it.

Alan I'll PM in the morning, maybe I can get a snapshot of a few of the relevant pages? Would be much appreciated! Good idea on checking the type certificate as well, I can check there if need be. thanks guys!!
