Supposedly the market is rich Japanese; it will probably do alright.

Username Protected wrote: They bought 15 Hondajets to fly around Hawaii Hawaii will be the highest per capita HondaJet ownership in the world. That's one HondaJet for every 95,000 inhabitants. If you applied that to the entire US, that would take 3,400 HondaJets. Crazy. But that does make hiring a full time maintenance staff more feasible. Mike C.

Username Protected wrote: Wow. Can't figure out what they want a HondaJet for. This is the perfect mission for a King Air... Actually, an unpressurized twin would be better, say a DHC-6 Twin Otter. No need for pressurization to go high, no need for retract gear to go fast. Instead, get a big cabin, big door easy to load and short runway use.
And if you have to move emergency supplies or evac a group a whole lot more practical.

There could be factory support involved. Honda is probably anxious to get their jet in front of the public, with an eye toward larger aircraft in the future.
