OK for those of us who aren't in the market, what am I looking at?

Honda HA-420 HondaJet

Most distinctive feature is engines mounted above the wing on pylons.

We got to crawl in about an hour later. It’s tight when you turn right into the cabin, but once you sit down it’s comfortable. Turning left, it’s easy to get in the pilot seats. And the Garmin Flight Deck is very clean. I really liked the layout.

Yes, kinda awkward to get into right seat but fine once you get seated. What I noticed most is how quite they are with the engines mounted on the wings

Had a good convo with an A&P today, who told me that serviceability and parts cost are... breathtaking.

Not in a good way.

But it's a Honda, it'll never need parts or service.

I would have liked the pylon idea better if the wing were on top of the engines.

This might be the only aircraft GM ever designed:

It was definitely a parts bin aircraft using bits of P-40, A-24, F4U, P-39, etc. Never made it into volume production. Fits very well with the "ugly don't fly well" theory.
