That was my initial thought as well however at that price point there are a lot of turbine options. I can’t imagine spending more than a million on an airplane with a piston engine, let alone two!

I don’t know how many are left as part of the EAS ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_Air_Service) but I know that Southern Airways Express serves small towns around the DFW area.

Ask Island Air about caravan on the hya to Ack run... It doesn’t work because the flights are way to short You end up with 5 cycles per hours. You end up cycling the engine out before it even gets close to TBO
