Ricky and I have known each other since I was a kid, I worked for him for several years back in the 90's, started out as a salesmen when I was 20 years old and left as one of their regional sales managers. The experience I gained at Big Tex did quite a lot to shape my career and life. Ricky worked longer hours than just about anyone I have ever met, built that company from scratch... quite a success story. I thought Big Tex's CFO was Robert Peak - who is not a big guy or at least one that would require an extra wide door... Must be someone else.
Could have been their COO... I never met him. This was relayed to me by Ricky's pilot at the time, sadly Robbie has since passed away... sure would like to be able to call him up and ask.

A couple of them were also installed on planes owned by rather large individuals including the then prime minister of the state of Bavaria Franz Joseph Strauss. He frequently flew himself on government business (or in situations where it was more expedient for him to show up as a 'private citizen', e.g. in some business dealings with russsia and east germany). Pictures of him getting in and out of his plane with the double door closed after his substantial behind entered the plane created lots of chuckles back in the day. This is a pic of him in younger slimmer years. Not sure what he was flying, panel looks like a Beech. Attachment: Franz_Joseph_Strauss.jpg

My first training in Engineering was "Drafting for Design" at a Vo-Tech School run by Beech Engineers. Visualize 30 teenagers throwing pounce bags and having to share the 1 mechanical calculator. And Yes, we all had to wear a tie. (mine was a clip on).
