If you are looking for a Twin Cessna maintenance specialist, I highly recommend Steve Fortner at Fortner Air Pro. Fortner Air Pro is located at the Williams County Airport, 0G6, in northwest Ohio. Steve worked on my Cessna 421C for my entire 12-year ownership period. Steve is an expert at engine setups and has a great intuition for how one tweak will affect all of the other parameters. Also, he understands cooling and baffling – and knows that extraordinary effort is frequently needed to get the engine running cool in all regimes. On the airframe side, Steve has a keen eye for items that are out of position, missing, cracked, or worn out. Some mechanics look without really seeing – not Steve. There were many occasions where Steve saved me from an unscheduled breakdown by finding a chafing wire, a cracked bracket, or a loose fastener. With his keen eye, he is terrific for pre-purchase inspections. I have known Steve since August of 2004 – in a few days it will be 14 years. I can vouch for his integrity, his knowledge, and the high quality of his work. He has opened his own shop because he wants to control his work product and he wants to communicate directly with his customers. When I had my Cessna 421, I travelled from NJ to OH so Steve could do my maintenance work. He is worth the effort. Steve’s contact info is at https://fortnerairpro.com/
