Can’t find anywhere if they increased useful load.
This plane became a lot more interesting now IMO. Why go fast unless you can go far. They made it a touch faster, reduced the empty weight a little, and added a little fuel tankage. Net result was some range improvement. And yes, added range makes it better.

Don't ya just love the way they throw these new range figures out without explaining the conditions The $5.25 million HondaJet Elite has achieved a 17% range increase to 1,437 nm and is equipped with a newly developed attenuating inlet structure that lines each engine to reduce high-frequency noise and increase cabin quietness, the company said.

That range is calculated according to official marketing department standards. This means that now it should actually meet the advertised range of the original HJ.

The extra range comes from aerodynamic cleanup (including removing VGs!) and an extra 16 gallons of fuel.
