Hello BT’rs,

My friend Theo Beisch, has developed an approved add-on to enable the Entegra system to act “more modern”

For details check out his webpage.

Any idea of the price point for the upgrade?

Here’s a direct quote from an email I received

“EMAXplus will be available for installation by end of March, list price is € 2.450 (plus VAT if you live in the EU) or
US$ 2,950. Installation requires a certified mechanic or avionics installer.

In case you’re ready to be among the first to have EMAXplus expanding safety and usability of your Cirrus: we are offering an early bird discount to those who help us increase initial production volume of € 450 / US$ 500 - sign up by end of February.

In case you have questions please let me know!

Mit freundlichen Grüßen
With best regards
Theo Beisch

Is the installation purely software?

Some more info,

EMAXplus – a quick update – can be installed in all Avidyne based Cirrus SR2x with SIU or DAU based EMAX engine instrumentation system. For the early G1 and G2 Cirrus (SIU equipped) it provides protocol conversion from SIU to DAU, allowing the Avidyne PFD to display engine data – like %Power, RPM, MAP (etc.). For all Avidyne configurations, it provides an aural annunciator adding instant crew alerts, a TKS consumption stopwatch, gallons based fuel tank management and a seamless flight time stopwatch – to list the main features. The idea quite expanded during the development process – part of the reason it took its time. For all details please see our website http://www.simplyflying.com.
