Allen he is even better than the article suggests. He didn't publicizes it, but he personally visited the guys who were involved in that T6 wreck Sunday. There isn't a nicer figure in sports. I have seen him step up through his progression from Saratoga, Malibu, to his CJ3 now and he has always been one of the nicest guys you could meet. Even offered me a ride with him back when I was pumping gas.

I saw that link in my Google News feed. The only reason I did not click is that USA Today is usually so so so anti-GA. I am far from an absolutist, and maybe someone can change my mind, but that new organization normally seems hell-bent anti-GA.

I guess USA Today likes NASCAR more than they hate GA.

We will see if this is an aberration of their editorial views.

Carl is a professional pilot in every way, he has a true passion for aviation. Always gracious and willing to spend as much time with fans (his or others) as his schedule will allow. He truly is a 1st. class guy, a wonderful father and husband.
Many would be surprised all he does for so many..... oh so very.... very quietly. He is really caring and considerate of others.

I'm shocked that the article wasn't spun to make the obligatory crazy-unsafe-elitistflying his "Cessna" anyplace he wants to without permission (can you believe that post- 9/11!!??) and endangering the children with his richboy climate-changing flivver commentary.

That's cool that so many of you know Carl. I have never met him but am good friends with his crew chief, Dave Rogers. Dave says he is a first class guy too.
