Installed these on the Searey today. They tripled the roll rate! Just awesome! Note the hinge 1/3 of the way in and the leading edge extends up into the slip stream .

any change to adverse yaw behavior? Better, worse, same?

Night and daw decrease in adverse yaw. The old Searey controls felt like they were stuck in cement and required mostly rudder to turn with opposite aileron. The new controls makes the ailerons behave like a regular airplane. Minimal adverse yaw and the ailerons actually turn the airplane.

HUGE aerodynamic benefits.

Of course my Bucker Biplane has these on all the controls except the rudder and it was designed in the 1930s so it's obviously not new technology. Bucker has some of the best controls on planet earth.

Trivia....the first year of Piper Warrior production (1974, I think) had Frise Ailerons.

Why do I know this? Back when I was a CFI, the Dr. who had the plane on leaseback with the little school I worked at would come in regularly and state such.
