At today's prices you will be buying cheap fuel and it will probably last you through the next rate hike and no risk to the FBO. JMHO This seems like a good idea. Do something that gives the FBO more/steadier cash flow. Significant monthly minimum that will roll over maybe.

I always go to them, but I'm closer. It's a 20 min trek from Camarillo. Adam, I get the option of flying somewhere else to get cheap fuel. My suspicion is that thus is probably not economical with turbine burn rate, a cycle used... not to mention the hassle and time spent, which, despite my current pseudo-retirement, I don't bill at zero cost. Flight from CMA to CNO to refuel seems dubious to be worth saving less than $500... which it won't. Although the upside to Chino is checking out all those odd birds, like this Draken... [Edit: corrected Viggen to Draken]

In AZ we have a fuel farm that I have rights to use. 9 cent handling fee. Last load $1.36 Well done, Mark!

Recent long trip fueling the Merlin was right around $150 an hour. hehehe Erwin, no airports in the Bu, unless you are flying rotary. I'm based 30 minutes away in Camarillo, it's a bit more down to earth than our current hood.

[Edit: corrected Viggen to Draken] Nah, I didn't think it would be an option. Too much hassle, not enough upside. Even though I'm much closer, I too will have to come up with some system because with the cycles and hot start possibilities in summer, just hopping over to CNO to fuel is not always an option. I also refuse to pay the exorbitant price KEMT charges for the stuff, so I don't know what to do. I might switch airport to BUR or something else if I can find a better deal on fuel.
