Now you can fly at night, over thunderstorms and into mountains, or something like that.
So what's next ? Would someone please explain this post?

The first is a reference to long 'singles vs. twins' debates on this forum where various people at various times claimed that if you wanted to fly over mountains, water or at night, you clearly needed a twin.
The second is expressing my expectation that Arlen will move on from the twin in less than two years.

Uh ok. You would need a turbo 310 to fly over thunderstorms. That confused me.

I've actually owned 6 previous airplanes for more that 2 years each. It only seems like really short times..

The speed one cycles through planes is expressed in SG (Sandeson/Gresham) units.

I was sitting in the den talking on the phone to Stan the other night. Karen was sitting in her lounger and heard the entire conversation. It was pretty evenly divided between my looking and his looking and bantering back and forth about what a particular airplane was "worth". It might have gone on for close to thirty minutes. After I hung up, I went back to TAP on my computer and after a few minutes, I could still feel the "cold shoulder". Looking to re-entrench my blasé' attitude toward buying an airplane I said,"Wow, Stan is worse than me when he's looking at airplanes." Without looking up and completely dead pan she said, "Not one bit worse than you.'" I still maintain that Stan is "worse than me". I wonder who will call whom first today. He really bought the same airplane twice without knowing it??? Jgreen

Arlen, I spent 11 years and 1400 hours with my 310 Q. Great airplane and I miss it. You don't need a computer, just figure 180KTS and 23GPH and that will cover just about all your flights. Congratulations..... Billy Mitchell
