Improves speed and landing characteristics. Saves weight on cables. I think is an STC but I don't know the number. The people who probably know the most about doing it at IJSC in Tulsa, http://ijetservice.com/. My plane came modified, so I don't have experience with getting it done. Fairly expensive because of having to open up everything, so best done at a major inspection point. Mike C.
