Mike C. The requirement is that twin turboprop must adhere to the manufacturer (or otherwise approved) maintenance program. The manufacturer obviously doesn't have a program for an airplane that it didn't create. Just strapping PT6s onto a 421 does not make it a 425 and subject to that maintenance program. For the RTD, rocket handled it via CAI or similar stc riders if I recall correctly.

Yup, engines are engines and airframe is airframe. 100 hrs or 12 mos on the engines, 200 hrs or 12 mos on the airframe for the royal duke.
