I've been a Commander owner on and off for 5 years, with a little break in-between for my Aerostar. But I always stayed in touch with the group. After having been very frustrated with an ancient mailing list - where it's very hard to keep track of conversations or finding old information, and the only other factory forum being more or less dead - I suggested we start a new forum modeled after BeechTalk - a shining beacon of light in the aviation forum abyss, if you ask me. The idea is to be a place on the internet for all things Commander, both pistons and turbines. Previously, there has always been a little gulf between the turbine owners/pilots and the piston owners and this is something I, and all Commander owners, hope the new forum can eliminate. Forum is hosted by a new Commander owner named Glenn who's in the software business and has his owns servers. For anyone at all interested in Commanders, pistons or turbines, or anyone wanting to contribute anything Commander, please know that you're most welcome at the new forum. You can view as guest. There's also a classified section if you want to sell a Commander or parts. Obviously, it's early days yet and membership is growing, but we have some heavy hitters joining. I am myself not part of the executive branch or have any financial involvement, I just want it to succeed and become a good resource. http://www.twincommandergroup.com.And here's a full pictorial of my 520 ownership from the day I first saw it until it left with its new owner to Siberia: http://www.twincommandergroup.com/index.php?topic=8.0 Hope you can join!

Username Protected wrote: Tom, I suggested we should do exactly like BeechTalk and only have our real names, because I think it makes for a better forum. But Glenn who set it up didn't do that this time around. I'm hoping we can change that, but for now it's any name you want. I'm with Tom. Best BS reduction idea on internet board ever. It would be nice to have an active forum wherever it's located but it would seem easier to upgrade or reinvigorate an existing forum vs. gifting Glenn a bunch of work to administrate another board. That said, it's great to have him and other fellow enthusiasts sharing quality info to help support both piston and turbine Commanders. The planes have a tremendous amount to offer pilots everywhere!
